Jermaine Sanwo-Olu Honoured at Eagle Award Event

Friday, December 20, 2024, was a memorable day for Jermaine Sanwo-Olu, the Executive Assistant to the Lagos State Governor/Head of the Lagos

Office of Diaspora Affairs (LASDA),as he received the Public Service Merit Award at the prestigious Eagle Award and Banquet held at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) in Ogba, Lagos. The event was a celebration of excellence and achievement, recognizing distinguished individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to their respective fields.

As he took to the stage to receive his award, he was filled with gratitude and humility. He thanked the organizers for this recognition, and for the opportunity to be among such an impressive group of awardees. He acknowledged that it was truly an honour to be in the company of esteemed individuals like Eze Eberechukwu Oji, Eze Aro of Arochukwu Kingdom, who received the Royal Icon of the Year award, and Anthony Okosodo, who was recognized for his Inspirational Leadership, Ambassador Oluwayomi Oluwapelumi- Inspirational Young Person of the Year, among others.

The Eagle Award Is a testament to the hard work and dedication of individuals and organizations that are making a positive impact in their communities. As someone who is passionate about public service and humanitarian work, he reterated his commitment to make a difference in the lives of others.

Finally, he extended his congratulations to all the awardees, including Don Olusegun Ugbo, who received the Grassroot Politician of the Year award, and Eunice Iwu-Basil, who was recognized as the Event Manager of the Year.

It was also exciting to see organizations like Alimosho Event Vendors Association and Bullion Records being recognized for their outstanding contributions.
