Welcome to Echoes from African Slums:
SYNOPSIS: Echoes from African Slums is a live programme with an interview session aired from PENRADIO, Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba, Lagos-Nigeria.
This show is designed to amplify the voice of the voiceless. It aims to empower people, though with disability, have in spite of all odds, are still making efforts to develop their capacity, and fend for a living rather than begging on the streets of Africa.
In Africa, it is the norm for people with disability to suffer abandonment, and be left to become begers on the Streets.
However, there are some who have refused to succumb to fate.
Our guests are usually disabled persons who have strived to live above their limitations.
We therefore use our platforms to showcase their skills to the world to assist them to achieve a great life they have envisioned for themselves.
We appeal to Compassionate organisations, and citizens with like minds all over the world to partner with us to make a great difference in the lives of these people, and to make the world a better place for us all.
We hope you be that agent of change.
Thank you Sir/Ma for your favourable response.
Signed; Mrs. Dickson Ihejirika.
